Easter Tips for Cats

Easter Tips for Cats

Easter time brings lots of delicious treats, but remember that some of these can be harmful for your cat or kitten.

The wrappers from Easter eggs with their bright, shiny colours might be appealing for your cat but could cause problems if ingested. Another one of your Easter-time favourites, hot cross buns, are full of sultanas and raisins, which are toxic for cats and can cause kidney damage, so please keep them out of your cat’s reach. A fun way to delight your cat this Easter is to plan an Easter egg hunt with a difference.

Instead of hiding Easter eggs place some tasty cat treats around your house or garden. When the treats are all in place let your cat explore and watch as they sniff out all the yummy snacks. For some extra fun you could include some small toys such as jingle balls to put your cat in a playful mood.

Wishing you a very happy Easter from all the cats and people at Cat Protection Society.
