Capturing The Moment

Capturing The Moment

With Instagram and Facebook still as popular as ever, there are more and more places for us to share the one thing we truly love — cute puppy pics.

We know you love taking photos of your pet just as much as we do, so here are some of our best photo tips:

  1. If you have a dog, schedule your shoot for after you’ve taken him or her for a short walk. This way, some of their energy will already be exerted
and they may be more likely to sit/lie still.
  2. Try doing your photography just before mealtime. Cats and dogs alike may be more inclined to sit and stay if you’re holding a treat at the other end of the camera.
  3. Know your pet. If you know your cat loves to curl up into the cutest pose on the cream cushion on the couch, do your shoot using the cream cushion. If your dog likes to roll around and play with a ball, make sure you get some adorable action shots that way.

Realistically, taking the time to hold a mini photo shoot with your four-legged friend isn’t always easy so if you’re struggling to get the photos that you will want to have on display, why not visit a professional pet photographer? There are many different animal photographers around, with one of our favourites being Pitter Patter Photography in Melbourne. We love the great photos this talented lady takes — make sure you check them out on Facebook or visit pitterpatterphotos.com.au for more information.
